Paul Brant, Indigenous Employment Coordinator for the ABC says "This plan is targeted towards action not words, we are looking at 2 % Indigenous Employment in the ABC as merely our starting point so we need to ensure we are pro-active". At present, 50 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff are employed by the ABC.

ABC jobs are advertised in newspapers and online. Under the Equal Opportunity and ABC Employment Agreement - everyone is entitled to positions if you are qualified.
Only jobs that have been specifically produced for Indigenous Employment are targeted to people with Aboriginal or Torres Strait Island backgrounds.
