The Federal Government has announced National Heritage listing for the Burrup Peninsula and its thousands of examples of ancient rock art, some of which may be the oldest examples of art in the world. But the Federal Government's decision only provides 99 per cent protection and allows Woodside to go ahead with developing its LNG plant. Those involved in the campaign to protect all of the rock art say it's time for World Heritage listing.
