Posted March 3, 2007 18:18:00

Melbourne police have released the name of a woman found dead in the Yarra River at Abbotsford yesterday afternoon.

She was 27-year-old Lynette Phillips from Balaclava, in the city's inner south-east.

Autopsy results have shown the body had signs of trauma.

A walker discovered the woman's body, wrapped in a doona cover and weighed down with weights, in the river at Dights Falls.
