Teen accused of attacking off-duty cop refused bail

Posted November 21, 2007 15:34:00

A magistrate has refused bail to a teenager accused of assaulting an off-duty police officer and his girlfriend at Coolangatta last weekend.

Tiani Slockee, 17, from Chinderah in New South Wales appeared in the Southport Magistrates Court this morning charged with robbery, assault and affray over the incident.

The Magistrate declined bail on the grounds that she was an unacceptable risk to the community.

Four children are also appearing in the Southport Children's Court today over the attack.

A 16-year-old faced Queensland Court yesterday over the same incident and a magistrate will decide today whether to grant bail.
