Truck kills highway walker

A man has died after he was hit by a truck while walking on the Pacific Highway at Chinderah in northern New South Wales.

Both southbound lanes have been closed to traffic after the accident just after 7:00am (AEDT).

Police say traffic is being diverted via the Tweed Valley Way.
