No charges to be laid over Chinderah road death

Posted December 19, 2007 09:00:00

Police say no charges will be laid in relation to yesterday's fatal accident on the Pacific Highway at Chinderah.

A 42-year-old man died when he stepped into the path of a B-double truck.

Further south, an 80-year-old man died after crashing his car on the Coast Road between Ballina and Lennox Head yesterday.

Police say the man turned out of Angels Beach Road and into the path of an empty bus.

He was taken to Ballina Hospital for treatment, but died yesterday afternoon.
