A man and his teenage daughter have been found dead in a home in Sydney's north-west, in what police suspect was a murder-suicide.

Ambulance officers were called to the townhouse on Stevens Street at Pennant Hills just after 6:00pm (AEDT) after reports a 13-year-old girl was unconscious and not breathing.

A crime scene was set-up, but investigators do not believe a third party was involved in the deaths.

Police say a post-mortem examination will be carried out to determine the cause of their deaths. A report will also be prepared for the coroner.
