Girl in hospital after cliff fall

Posted January 6, 2008 21:47:00

A four-year-old girl is being treated in hospital after falling about 10 metres from a cliff face on South Australia's Yorke Peninsula.

The girl, from Victoria, fell onto rocks at Point Turton, on the Southern Yorke Peninsula, this evening.

An ambulance spokesman says the girl has remained conscious throughout the ordeal and is being treated for lacerations to her head and face.

She has been taken to the Yorketown Hospital where she will be assessed and flown to Adelaide if necessary.
