House catches fire while parents out of town

Posted January 26, 2008 17:00:00

Unattended cooking has led to a house fire that has left a damage bill of $600,000 at Seabrook, in Melbourne's west.

Firefighters were called to the property in Addison Place about 2:30pm AEDT, when the young occupants arrived home to find the roof had collapsed and firefighters were battling to control the blaze.

They had started cooking and gone out.

Their parents are away for the long weekend.
