Insurer says Beechwood customers will not be out of pocket

The insurer for the failed building company Beechwood says it is working to quickly resolve claims, and customers will not be left out of pocket.
Sue Repanellis from Vero says anyone who has paid a deposit will get it back and in cases where construction has already started, a builder will be found to complete the work.
She says the situation has not been made easier by inaccurate information being circulated.
"We really just want to reassure consumers that this has triggered their home warranty insurance, they will be protected," she said.
"This is what the scheme is for and we are working to get this done as quickly as possible.
"With a lot of this misinformation it's causing a lot of concern for these home owners and that worries us as well because there's a simple solution, so they just need to get in touch with us."
