Motorcyclists dead after separate accidents

Two motorcyclists have died in separate accidents in Queensland overnight.

One man died when he crashed his bike into a traffic sign and guard rail on the Gold Coast hinterland.

The crash happened on Nerang-Murwillumbah Road at Advancetown at about 11:00pm AEST.

The man, in his mid-30s, suffered head injuries and was declared dead at the scene.

Police say they would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the rider prior to the crash.

In a separate incident at Kallangur, north of Brisbane, a man died after crashing his motorbike on Anzac Avenue around 6:00am (AEST).
