Man charged with murder after fatal assault

A man has been charged with murder over the death of another man, after an assault at Narrabri in north-west New South Wales.
Police say a 31-year-old man got into a fight with a group of people just after 12:00am today.
They say he was hit on the head several times, collapsed and died in hospital.
Officers later arrested a 22-year-old man and charged him with murder.
He is expected to appear in Moree Local Court tomorrow.
