Posted June 29, 2008 07:47:00

A man is due to appear in court on murder charges today, after the death of a New South Wales man early yesterday.

Police say a 31-year-old man got into a fight with a group of people in the early hours of yesterday morning at Narrabri.

They say he was hit on the head several times, collapsed and died in hospital.

Officers later arrested a 22-year-old man from Wee Waa at the same hospital.

He is expected to appear in Moree Local Court today.
