Child abuse task force refers Cape York matters to police

National child abuse investigators say 130 reports have been compiled after a recent visit to far north Queensland's Cape York.

Officers from the National Indigenous Violence and Child Abuse Intelligence Task Force visited 17 communities.

The body was set up in 2006 and is led by the Australian Crime Commission.

A spokeswoman says 15 matters have been referred to police.
