Three people have been charged with obstruction after anti-desalination protests in Kilcunda yesterday.

About 30 protesters gathered at the site of the desalination plant and blocked trucks from entering for six hours.

A 35-year-old Surf Beach man, a 51-year-old Wonthaggi woman and a 59-year-old Dalyston man have been charged on summons with obstruction.

They are due to appear in court at a later date.

It is the first time anti-desalination protesters have been charged with blockading the site.
