Wild dog attacks increasing: sheep graziers

Sheep graziers in the ACT region say they are close to being driven out of the industry because of attacks by wild dogs.
They have blamed authorities for not controlling the dog populations in national parks.
Peter Luton, whose family property borders Namadgi National Park, says stock losses are mounting.
He says they have lost 150 sheep in the past six months.
"We've put younger stock over now as we do. We breed our own and now they're diminishing by the dogs," he said.
"It's costing us all the time. We're buying feed in at around $500 a tonne to feed the sheep for the dogs to kill. It doesn't make much sense, does it.
"Doesn't matter whether its 10 or 100, one is too many when we're trying to make a living on the boundary."
