Fosters chief to stand down today

Posted July 21, 2008 09:00:00

Foster's brewing and wine group chief executive Trevor O'Hoy will step down today.

Non-executive director Ian Johnston will act in the position until a permanent replacement is found.

The resignation of Mr O'Hoy was announced last month, along with a review of the company's global wine operations.

At the time, Foster's said it would write down the value of its wine business by up to $700 million, and it lowered its 2008 profit forecast.
