ABC foreign correspondent Peter Lloyd has appeared for the first time on the streets of Singapore since being released on bail over drugs charges.

Looking thinner and wearing casual shorts and T-shirt, Peter Lloyd was asked questions by the media as he left his lawyer's offices.

He was accompanied by a family member.

The 41-year-old foreign correspondent did not stop or answer any questions.

His friend and ABC journalist Tim Palmer spoke on his behalf.

"Peter has no complaints at all about how Singaporean authorities have handled this matter," he said.

Lloyd was released on bail yesterday and will appear in court again tomorrow on charges of using and trafficking the drug ice.

The offences carry prison terms of up to 20 years and strokes of the cane.
