MP's son charged over child porn

Federal Labor MP Janelle Saffin's son has been charged with possessing child pornography after police allegedly discovered offensive images on his home computer.
Twenty-three-year-old Ned Saffin, whose mother is the Member for Page in northern New South Wales, was charged yesterday with three counts of possessing child pornography.
Officers removed a number of computer hard drives and digital image storing devices from his home in Lismore Heights in March.
He has been granted bail and will appear in the Lismore Local Court on August 25.
