Armed robberies at two convenience stores

Posted July 25, 2008 08:42:00

Two Melbourne convenience stores were held up last night.

Four men armed with knives and a pole robbed a Coolaroo milk bar about 9:00pm (AEST) on Thursday.

The attackers fled with the cash register.

Meanwhile, a man with a gun tried to rob a Blackburn convenience store just before 2:00am (AEST) today.

The store attendant hit the panic alarm, causing the bandit to flee empty handed.
