Health experts in North Queensland say an outbreak of measles seems to have been contained.
Three people in the same Townsville family tested positive for the illness last week, but further tests have shown no-one else in the region has been affected.
Townsville Public Health medical officer Stephen Donoghue says anyone with measles-like symptoms should still contact their GP.
"The thing is that there are quite a few minor diseases that cause a similar rash in children or even adults, but measles is usually a more severe disease and it's certainly got very nasty complications," he said.
"That's the one we're looking for."
