Sarina Show chief hopes for record crowd

Posted August 1, 2008 09:42:00

The Sarina Show president says many rural shows are struggling financially with many folding over the past few years.

David Lemberg says the Sarina Show begins tomorrow and Sunday and will have a country feel with its traditional mechanical bull ride, sideshow alley and wood chopping.

He says the show has a long future and it is hoped a record crowd will come this year.

"All fingers and toes are crossed at the moment, hoping for a really big crowd which will ... help us financially through the rest of the year I hope - which is becoming a problem for the small shows over the last few years," he said.
