Man charged over '1970s child sex attacks'

A 57-year-old man has been charged with six child sex offences dating back to the 1970s.
A 40-year-old woman last year reported a number of sexual assaults that allegedly occurred at Bowraville, on the New South Wales mid-north coast, in 1978 and 1979.
The woman was aged between 10 and 12 at the time of the alleged incidents.
Subsequent investigations led to the arrest of a 57-year-old man about 10:50am (AEST) yesterday.
He appeared in Macksville Local Court yesterday and was granted conditional bail to face the court later this month.
