Vet staff to be tested again for Hendra virus

Posted August 7, 2008 17:45:00

Staff from a veterinary clinic on Brisbane's bayside will begin a third round of testing for the deadly Hendra virus today.

Twelve people will be tested over the next few days and their results should be known by the end of next week.

They came into contact with a horse that was diagnosed with the disease.

Two staff members who tested positive to the virus remain in hospital under close medical supervision.
