Youth dies in Yarrabah road crash

One person is dead and two others are in hospital after a car hit a powerpole near Cairns
Police say a 17-year-old male was thrown from a sedan and killed when it struck the pole at Yarrabah just before midnight AEST.
The 25-year-old driver allegedly fled the scene but was found a short time later and has been taken to hospital.
Another passenger is also in hospital.
