The RAA says the falling Australian dollar is likely to cancel out recent drops in the world oil price.

The association's Matthew Hanton says motorists cannot expect too much relief at the bowser despite the world oil price hitting a three-month low.

"The Australian dollar has also dropped from around 98 cents to below 90 cents US now so certainly that will stop price reductions from flowing through," he said.
