Posted August 15, 2008 07:05:00

A man has been charged and five others identified by police over a vandalism attack on the Port Macquarie Historic cemetery.

Eight grave sites dating back to penal colony times were attacked on August 2, leaving a damage bill of more than $11,000.

An 18-year-old Port Macquarie man will face the local court next month charged with malicious damage.

Two other boys, aged 16 and 15 will be part of a youth conference and three other teenagers, from Port Macquarie and Bonny Hills, have been spoken to by police.
