Luxury resort planned for NE Tas

Posted August 15, 2008 09:00:00

A $90 million tourism development has been proposed for Tasmania's far north-east.

The proposal would see 100 units built at Tomahawk.

The Mayor of Dorset, Peter Partridge says it would be a luxurious development.

"I understand this will be tourist style accommodation ..a managed system whereby people can own one of the units but it will also be managed by the central manager of the ..who will be able to lease that out on occasion as well."

Councillor Partridge says he expects a development application will be submitted to the council within weeks.
