Potent shoots for gold

Posted August 15, 2008 09:33:00

World number one Warren Potent will be shooting for Olympic gold for Australia in today's 50-metre prone rifle final.

Australia's shooters have won at least one gold medal at each of the last three Olympics, but have failed to reach the podium so far in Beijing.

Potent will be hoping to change that this afternoon, when he starts his event as one of the medal favourites.
