Gowan motorsport plans revealed

Posted August 20, 2008 07:27:00

Plans have been unveiled for a five-track motorsport complex near Orange.

The facility, which includes a camping ground with room for up to 50 tents, would be developed at Gowan.

The park's proponents say the complex would be the first of its kind in the area and employ about 11 people.

The Cabonne council's general manager, Graeme Fleming, says the council is seeking public comment on the project.

"It's currently a rural property, quite a substantial property of a couple of thousand acres," he said.

"It's situation among other similar rural properties and we wanted to try and get feedback from our community and also from our neighbours at Bathurst and anyone else that may have any comments on the proposal."
