Body identified as missing woman

Posted August 20, 2008 09:05:00

A body found last week on the outskirts of Orange, in central western New South Wales, has been identified as that of a woman who had been missing for five months.

Leeanne Mintern, 45, disappeared in March.

Her remains were found in a shallow grave on Wednesday.

A post-mortem examination has found she died from injuries "sustained from multiple blunt force trauma".

A 48-year-old Orange man has been charged with her murder and is due to face court again in November.
