MP confident LNP to attract more votes

Posted August 21, 2008 10:07:00

The Member for Robina, Ray Stevens, says he is confident the Liberal-National Party (LNP) will win voters on the Gold Coast at the next Queensland election.

The Robina electorate will be replaced by Mermaid Beach under a recent review of Queensland's electoral boundaries.

Mr Stevens says he will have automatic LNP endorsement for the new seat.

"I think the whole of the LNP will go a lot better this time now that we're one party, we're one vehicle that can provide a better government ... so I'm confident the LNP is going to go a lot better at the next election and as a result I'm confident that I will go a lot better as well," he said.
