Czech Republic's Spotakova wins women's javelin

The Czech Republic's Barbora Spotakova has won the Olympic Games women's javelin with a best throw of 71.42 metres.

The 27-year-old world champion took gold ahead of Russia's Maria Abakumova (70.78m) while Germany's Christina Obergf took the bronze with a best of 66.13m,

Cuba's defending champion and world record holder Osleidys Menendez finished sixth (63.35m).
