Opals looking for golden opportunity

Posted August 22, 2008 13:43:00

The Australian Opals have another chance at an Olympic victory over the US women's basketball team when the two sides play off for the gold medal tomorrow night.

The Opals, captained by Albury's Lauren Jackson, were too good for China in the semi-final last night, winning 90-56.

Jackson scored 11 of those points and has averaged 17 points and eight rebounds in each game at the Olympics so far.
