30,000 affected by Chad floods

The United Nations says about 30,000 people have been affected by floods in southern Chad.

The UN humanitarian co-ordinator for Chad says torrential rains have killed three people and destroyed the homes of 10,000 others.

There has been serious flooding across West Africa in recent days.
