Lewis charged with dangerous throw

Posted August 26, 2008 18:06:00

Penrith half-back Luke Lewis has been charged with a dangerous throw by the NRL judiciary.

Lewis can escape suspension with an early guilty plea for the tackle in last night's loss to Melbourne.

The Bulldogs' Brad Morrin has entered an early guilty plea for a careless high tackle and is free to play this weekend.

Ben Jeffrey will replace the injured Preston Campbell at fullback for the Titans' clash against Manly in Sydney.

Campbell broke his jaw during last weekend's loss to Brisbane at Lang Park.

Gold Coast coach John Cartwright has named 20 players, with four to be omitted before kick off next Monday night.
