Parramatta half-back Brett Finch will miss the Eels' must-win round 25 NRL match against St George Illawarra at Sydney's Olympic stadium on Saturday evening.

Finch bruised his cheekbone last week in Parramatta's 26-12 win over the Bulldogs at the weekend.

Kris Keating will fill in at half-back, while Feleti Mateo will move to five-eighth.

The Eels are currently ninth on the NRL ladder with two rounds remaining of the regular season.
