Police warn hoon drivers won't be tolerated

Naracoorte police say they have seen a disturbing rise in irresponsible driving in the region's young male motorists.
Five vehicles have been seized and impounded in Naracoorte since Saturday - four of them driven by provisional one P-platers.
Two of the cars were reported to have been drag racing, another two doing burnouts, and one vehicle at Lochaber was allegedly doing sustained wheelies before crashing into rocks and blowing tyres.
The drivers will be summonsed to appear in court on charges of either hoon driving or misuse of a motor vehicle.
Senior Sergeant Dave Thomas says the drivers are simply stupid people and their behaviour will not be tolerated.
"Repeat offenders can have their vehicles seized and forfeited to the Crown," he said.
"It has happened in the south-east before and we're certainly at the stage now with some of our offenders that they're going to be getting in that situation as well.
"What they may not realise, we can certainly seize the car they're in whether those people own it or not and that's certainly an imposition."
Meanwhile, a 31-year-old Victorian man was arrested by Mt Gambier police last night for drink-driving and driving at dangerous speed.
He recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.195 after being detected at almost 50 kilometres over the speed limit on the Riddoch Highway about 6:45pm ACST.
His vehicle has been impounded for one week, and he has been released on bail to attend court at a later date.
And Naracoorte police say a large sum of money was found the vicinity of Naracoorte's Smith Street shopping area on Friday.
Police wish to speak to the owner and ask anyone with information to come forward.
