Fremantle coach Mark Harvey says his side has performed well despite a disappointing season marked by a horror run of injuries and five retirements.

The Dockers will face Collingwood on Friday night without several important players including captain Matthew Pavlich.

Fremantle has lost a number of games this season by less than ten points and Harvey says his side has performed well despite missing key players.

"We've had this problem not to this depth, but we've had this problem with not having enough of our better players available all year," he said.

"It's not excuse but I tell you what we have done we've been managing to still run teams right to the wire with a lack of personnel sometimes."
