Driver survives tree crash

Police say a man is lucky to be alive after his car crashed into a tree south of Bendigo yesterday afternoon.

The car was badly mangled when it hit a tree, after running off the Sutton-Grange - Sedgwick Road at Sedgwick yesterday afternoon.

The 35-year-old driver was flown to Royal Melbourne Hospital with pelvic injuries.
