Numeracy scheme to be trialled in west

A pilot program aimed at increasing the numeracy skills of school students will be trialed in western New South Wales.

The Federal Government has announced that specialist maths teachers will be place in schools in the Broken Hill, Dubbo and Bourke school clusters, a part of a $1.5 million program.

The teachers will mentor students in years three to eight.
