New South Wales Nationals Leader Andrew Stoner has been thrown out of Parliament after a rowdy question time on the Government's new plans for the electricity sector.

The Opposition was attempting to use the session to highlight the Government's past statements that infrastructure projects were not dependent on the sale of its electricity assets.

Mr Stoner says he does not know why he was ejected.

"I don't know what went on in there," he said.

Mr Stoner says things became rowdy because the Government would not answer the Opposition's questions.

"I don't know why I was bounced," he said.

"I don't know why I was picked on when clearly Government ministers were getting away with murder."

The Premier says the capital works program has to be reviewed because credit ratings agencies have viewed dimly the Opposition's decision to block the privatisation legislation.

Meanwhile, power workers across New South Wales have walked off the job to protest the State Government's introduction of a new electricity privatisation package.

The action involves around 1,500 United Services Union members, mainly from call centres and in administration.

The Union's general secretary Ben Kruse says workers are angry that the Government is pressing ahead with its plan to sell the retailers.
