Penrith captain Petero Civoniceva says he is disappointed by reports he wants out of the NRL club next season.

There has been speculation the representative forward wanted to join his former club Brisbane next year, despite having two seasons to run on his current contract.

Civoniceva says that could not be further from the truth.

"I'm fully committed to the Panthers, I've enjoyed my leadership role there and I'm looking forward to next season," he said.

"We've got some great young talent there and I'd like to be part of that against for next season for sure."
