Man to front Cleveland court on attempted murder charge

Posted September 7, 2008 00:00:00

A 27-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after a disturbance in Brisbane's eastern suburbs.

Police were called to Boundary Road in Thornlands around 1:30am AEST today, where a man was allegedly shouting at a female driver.

The man allegedly took a large knife from his car before driving his car at the female driver and then at a police car.

The man then allegedly got out of his car and came at two police officers with the knife, forcing them to use capsicum spray and a Taser to subdue him.

He has been taken into custody and will appear in the Cleveland Magistrates Court on Monday.
