Posted September 29, 2008 21:47:00

WA police expect to charge a 41-year-old man later this week with the rape of a teenager in Kalgoorlie more than two decades ago.

The 16-year-old was attacked in her Kalgoorlie home in 1987.

Officers from the sex assault squad have used DNA technology to identify Paul James Carr who is currently serving time in a New South Wales prison.
