Dental boost for Burnett

Posted September 30, 2008 08:03:00

Queensland Health says there has been an expansion of dental services in the Burnett towns of Monto, Gayndah and Mundubbera.

Two new dentists with an interest in rural health will provide full-time dental services in Gayndah and Mundubbera.

And Monto's current dentist will expand his duties to offer private services.

Wide Bay district manager Pattie Hudson says it will mean less travel for some patients.

"Mainly down to Bundaberg to get their services," she said.

"We had a part-time service coming from the Fraser Coast from March when our dentist of some 27 years retired from the Gayndah area."
