Poseidon Nickel to meet shire over suspension

The Shire of Laverton will today meet representatives from Poseidon Nickel, which has suspended operations at its Mt Windarra site, to determine what impact the move will have on the local community.
The company says postponing its main project, located within the shire, is the most sensible action in the wake of the global financial crisis.
It is believed a small number of staff will be affected by the decision.
