Man survives cliff fall

Posted October 6, 2008 09:42:00

A man had to be winched to safety overnight after falling down a cliff at Grassy Head, north-east of Kempsey.

The 18-year old was walking with a group of friends along the coastal headland about midnight when he slipped and fell about 15 metres.

His friends alerted rescue authorities.

The man was not badly injured as thick vegetation broke his fall.
