Warrnambool man pleads guilty to child porn charges

Posted October 7, 2008 11:12:00

A man has pleaded guilty in the Warrnambool Magistrates Court to possessing tens of thousands of images showing children being sexually abused.

Linton John Milne, 29, of Logans Beach Road in Warrnambool, in south-west Victoria, pleaded guilty to one count each of possessing and producing child pornography.

Police seized a hard drive and a CD during a search of Milne's house in May this year.

The court was told the hard drive contained 60 hours of video footage, with some of it showing children being sexually abused.

Some of the videos came from Thailand and India.

About 38,000 child pornography images were also found.

Milne was remanded in custody and is due to appear before the Warrnambool Magistrates Court for sentencing later this week.
