Two men charged over Inverell murder

Posted October 7, 2008 14:00:00

Two men have been charged with the murder of an Inverell man in New South Wales' north west.

The body of the 39-year-old was found on the verandah of his Lindsay Avenue home just before 11am AEDT on Sunday.

Police say the post mortem examination is still being finalised - but there were obvious signs of injury to the victim.

Yesterday about 1:30pm AEDT an 18-year-old man went to Inverell Police Station to talk to investigators. Around the same time a 26-year-old man attended the Casino Police Station in relation to the killing.

Both men have been charged with murder and will appear in court later today.
